You
will still hear the Gaelic being spoken
as an everyday language; it is still the
first language for many. Crofting, weaving
and fishing are still the main source of
income with tourism as the newcomer. The
quad may have taken over from Shank's Pony
for rounding up stray sheep but tractors
carry home the peat's that are still hand
cut dried and stacked ready to keep the
home fires burning.
If
you are interested in our fold it would be an ideal
opportunity to enjoy a short break or take a holiday.
There is plenty on offer, enjoy a range of activities
from climbing, hill walking and cycling to diving,
sea and freshwater fishing. |
